Ilex Cornuta - Chinese Holly Leaf Extract.
The particular strain of Chinese Aquifoliaceae Ilex holly leaf used in Alistrol was originally found only in one mountain range in south China. It has traditionally been used by local indigenous people to prepare tea. It has been found that people living in this region rarely have high blood pressure. Scientific research has indicated that this holly leaf tea contributes to lowering blood pressure by promoting arterial health and blood circulation, and by calming the nervous system. Human clinical studies have borne out the effectiveness of preparations made from this holly leaf, in bringing about healthy blood pressure. |

Crataegus Pinnatifida - Chinese Hawthorn Fruit Extract
Hawthorn fruit is a small pome-type fruit with a single seed. Hawthorn berries have been used in Asia for thousands of years, both as food and as medicine. In traditional herbal medicine, they are used for helping digestion, treating diarrhea, and enhancing blood circulation. Modern research has indicated that hawthorn fruit can be beneficial in improving heart performance, enhancing blood flow, lowering blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and improving immune-system performance. It also seems to be a good antioxidant, and is believed to have anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effects. |

Daikon is a type of large white radish commonly used in Asian cuisine. Radish seed has been used in herbal medicine for thousands of years to help promote digestion; to relieve constipation, diarrhea, cough, and asthma; and to enhance energy and blood circulation. Allium Sativum, À. Controversum
- Garlic Extract
Garlic is a perennial herb with a globose bulb containing 5 - 15 cloves, covered by white or mauve-tinged skin. The plant has flat leaves and produces an umbel of green-white to pink flowers, with a deciduous spathe, that appear in summer. The bulbs are used and an essential oil is also extracted. It is used internally as supportive treatment of high blood lipids and for the prevention of age-related vascular changes - its cholesterol lowering effect. Garlic has also been found to reduce metabolism of glucose in diabetes, slow down the development of arteriosclerosis and lower the risk of heart attacks. |
